Funding Drive Halfway Point Updates

Since we just passed the halfway mark for Funding Drive, we thought it’s only fair to share the support we’ve been getting from the CJLO fam, with the CJLO fam! You’ve shown up in a big way and got us past several of our set goals to date.

CJLO has proven time and time again that we can overcome difficult and unexpected circumstances with flair and enthusiasm. Life can be categorized by its cyclical nature, as yearly trends come back to remind us the Earth has rotated around the sun one more time. These cycles are inevitable, and can be counted on more than your truest of friends. The return of Pumpkin Spice Lattes, the purveying joy of Christmas, tax season. Or, CJLO’s annual Funding Drive.

Each year, the station bands together to raise money. Our goal? To continue serving as a pillar of arts and culture in Montreal and the surrounding area, offering listeners dozens of curated radio programs to tune into, discovering new tracks and welcoming voices along the way.

Stayin' Alive for CJLO's Funding Drive

We’re stoked to announce our annual Funding Drive, Stayin’ Alive.This year's festivities will be available entirely ONLINE, allowing access to people from all over the world. 

By donating during our Funding Drive, you’re helping us to provide equipment to your favourite DJ so we can continue producing amazing content and special programming. We ‘ve been supporting our community through our ReStart program which aims to help local businesses increase their visibility during these tough times. 

Participate in the festivities from October 22 to October 31, 2020, as CJLO rolls out bold programming, a spooky trivia event on October 27 in collaboration with RIDM and Nightmare on Film Street, ending with a fun DJ night on JQBX on Halloween! 

FUNDrive Raffle Draws on Friday!

Our Funding Drive events were a great success! We want to thank all our staff, DJs, volunteers and community members for helping attract 700 people to our events, which helped raise over $4,200 in just 9 days. However, the fun isn't over yet!

We're drawing winners for over $10,000 in prizes this Friday, October 6th at 1pm.

CJLO's 2015 Funding Drive: Get Ready!

CJLO is about to put the FUN in Funding Drive- what better way than to embody the CJLO experience in two weeks of shows and special programming (Sept 22 to Oct 4)? All proceeds will go towards our mandate of quality and diverse broadcasting, community + student workshops, and artist residencies. We hope you’ll join us for some of our Funding Drive Events- whether you like hip hop, trivia, metal, comedy, indie rock or electronic music- we’ve got something for everyone! The fun kicks off at our Opening Party Sept 23 where we’ll screen Jem Cohen’s documentary “Instrument” about Fugazi and Dischord Records.
