Interview #2 on Champions of the Local Scene tonight at 6pm! Professional volunteer and doer-of-good Dana Flynn joins Abby S in the studio... Dana dedicates all of her time to two West Island based organizations that help women who have been victimized by sexual abuse. She will be discussing how the topic is still very taboo, especially in suburban-esque towns like Kirkland and Pierrefonds. We will be mostly talking to her about her stint at Concertation en matière de violence sexuelle dans l'Ouest-de-l'Île.

Behind the Counter will be interviewing Gonzo Nieto this Sunday at 1pm. We’ll be chatting with Gonzo and delving deeper into the topics discussed in his column Turning Inward for The Link and on his blog. Touching on subjects from the mind and consciousness to psychedelic drug research.

This morning the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission
released their decision regarding CJLO's application to add an FM repeating
transmitter to broadcast at 107.9 FM in the immediate vicinity of Concordia
University's downtown campus. Since our successful bid to begin broadcasting
on the AM band in 2008, we have heard from many of our listeners who report
difficulty tuning into our radio signal in the downtown area. To correct
this issue, and to better fulfil our mandate to serve both Loyola and Sir
George Williams campuses and the Montreal community, we proposed installing
