Montreal police are urging people to equip their mailboxes with locks after three people were arrested for raiding mailboxes to steal peoples' identities in Montreal and Laval. Police say the suspects targeted residences where mailboxes were accessible from outside the building.

New self-driving buses are roaming the streets of Montreal for the first time. Transporting people from the Olympic Stadium to the Maisonneuve Market at no cost, the self-driving buses are part of a city pilot project aimed at testing autonomous vehicles on city streets.

The project builds on last year's experiment with the same bus, which drove people around the grounds of the Olympic Stadium.

A new art exhibition featuring works from renowned actor Jim Carrey is on display in Montreal’s Phi Centre all summer.

The exhibition entitled “This Light Never Goes Out” combines a selection of Carrey’s political cartoons that he had been creating and sharing with the world through his Twitter account.

The city of Montreal is set to rename the street which carries the name of Jeffery Amherst; a former English military commander whose desire was to exterminate the race of Indigenous People by giving them blankets infected with smallpox.

Amherst Street, the street that runs from the city’s Old Port to Lafontaine Park, will be renamed in honour of an Indeginous person.

Mayor Valerie Plante announced earlier this week that the city of Montreal will launch a public awareness campaign to encourage employers to hire newcomers.

The campaign will ensure the development of an inclusive organizational culture across the city; a step which would lead to inclusive non-discriminatory hiring practices.

Letterboxd Review “Sends You on a Spiritual Musical High” 

    Amazing Grace is a gospel hymn that is as iconic as the American national anthem. It is also the title of a live album that Aretha Franklin recorded in Los Angeles, January of 1972. As well as being the best selling album for Franklin, it is the highest selling gospel album of all time. Originally Warner Brothers created a documentary film, directed by Sydney Pollack. It was Constructed as footage of the recording album set to be released in 1972, but it was later shelved. This lost footage is now finished in this documentary from director Alan Elliot and Editor Jeff Buchanan. Pollack is credited as a director for this documentary.
