 CJLO is proud to be turning three years old on October 15th, 2011. We've been bringing the best in local and underground music to the AM dial since 2008 and we want to thank all of our volunteers and listeners for helping CJLO become the award winning radio station that we are today.

In one week a large number of CJLO DJs and volunteers will be making their way to New York City for the annual CMJ: Music Marathon. The weeklong event features countless shows, amazing panels and a College Music Award Ceremony. Last year CJLO walked away with Station of the Year along with WKDU. This year CJLO is nominated again for the same honour amongst others.

Station Of The Year

CJLO is pleased to be bringing you two weeks chock full of events!

First, we're kicking things off with a POP Montreal Co-Presentation of Asobi Seksu on September 21st at Club Lambi. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.

We then are going to be doing a live broadcast from the Bethune Block Party (a teach-in and demonstration to reclaim campus & community space) on September 23rd from 12pm until 6pm.

Have you ever wondered how a radio station works?

Whether you're new to the city or a long time listener, CJLO would like to welcome you into our station! We will be having an Open House on Monday, September 19th from 17:00 until 19:00. You will be given a tour through our facilities and will have the chance to see our on-air studio.

Snacks will be provided, so come hang out with CJLO and hear what we're all about.

Having put out some great local releases by bands like Solids, Amanita Bloom, Slobs and more, Montreal label Machete Records is celebrating its 2nd anniversary this Friday with a party @ Sala Rosa. Rome Romeo, a Sonics fave and one of the bands on the bill, will be dropping by Hooked on Sonics tonight to perform live and chat about 2 years of Machete.
