The Limelight

Welcome to Limelight with your hosts J-Nice, Lady Oracle & new addition Eric The Tutor.  This is the longest running Hip Hop show on CJLO 1690AM, we've been doing this since 2003 and we're still going strong.

What keeps us going is our love for underground music, we're the radio show where their music gets heard.  That real Hip Hop.

Want to find out more? Be sure to tune every Satuday from 6pm till 8pm on CJLO 1690AM www.cjlo.com

What up Limelighters!

Next week J-Nice & I will be out but Eric The Tutor will be holding with Star-Q from More Fyah radio so be sure to tune in! I love it when other CJLO DJs throw down Hip Hop tracks & I know our loyal followers will love it too!

Peace!

Native Tongue  This Saturday The Limelight we’ll be paying to tribute to the  Native Tongue Family.

This Hip Hop collective consisted of Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest & De La Soul, Leaders Of The New School, Queen Latifah, Monie Love & Chi Ali. Later on there were peripheral members such as Towa Tei, J Dilla, Prince Paul, Brand Nubian, Punchline & Wordsworth

The Native Tongue had an impact on the style and trend of Hip Hop during the Golden Age.

Be sure to tune into The Limelight this Saturday January 7th for the best of 2011.  We'll be playing the songs that sonically pleased J-Nice and myself. As a treat we've posted one of our favorite tracks for you all.  It's Masta Ace and  Doom with the track PBS, rhyming about the darker side of Sesame Street, track is hilarious and if you can't imagine Elmo as a gangster I posted a pic for a visual. Enjoy and see you in The Limelight
