More cuts for universities in the future

A government meeting regarding the matters of higher education took place between Jan. 17 and 18 at the University of Sherbrooke.

According to the Link the Minister of Science and Technology did not deny that the $124 million cuts would continue for Universities next year.

He stated that as soon as they have figured out what the student contribution will be, then they`ll determine whether further cuts will be made.

He also stated that next year the Parti Quebecois will announce if more cuts will be made.
