Parlovr - Kook Soul
Album review by Leilani Fraser-Buchanan
Dine Alone Records

"Kook Soul" by Parlovr makes me wish I already knew the words to every song. The album sounds like loud and cheerful catharsis wrapped up into neat 2-to-3 minute packages. Sweet, upbeat sing-a-longs build and break into shrieking wails, with a tempo that is always energetic even when it's somewhat restrained. Tracks like "Fisticuffs and Affidavits" and "Amaze-Me-Jane" sound perfectly fitted to dance, jump and scream to. Each track has an individual power and demands it's own attention. "Kook Soul" on a whole is solid, invigorating and oh-so-much fun.

FINAL MARK : B+
