Police have been carefully patrolling Montreal during the Grand Prix weekend to crack down on prostitution.

According to CBC News, the race weekend is the most popular time of year for sexual tourism in Montreal.

Activists from the feminist organization FEMEN have voiced their concerns over the fair treatment of sex-trade workers during the Grand Prix weekend.

Former Montreal mayor Michael Applebaum preliminary hearing is to begin Monday. 

According to CBC News, Applebaum will be heard on 14 charges including fraud and breach of trust. 

Others who were arrested on the same day, such as former borough councillor Saulie Zajdel, have already plead guilty. 

According to the Gazette, Montreal is being considered to host a Formula-E race in 2016.

The death toll of the sudden and catastrophic tornado that hit Mexico early Monday has been raised to thirteen, after the body of a baby was found in northern Mexico.

The Patients at the Montreal Children's Hospital moved into their new location at the MUHC's Glen site on Sunday.

CTV news reports that the transfer was a complete success, and that it took the MUHC a total of 3 hours and 57 minutes to execute.

In total, 66 patients were relocated.
