Around 25 people showed their concern for the establishment of the Pacific Trails and Northern Gateway Pipeline across the territory of the Unist’ot’en Clan of the Wet’suwet’en Nation on Monday morning.

The group assembled in front of the pipeline and tar sands investor Royal Bank and later the office of Jarislowsky Fraser Limited, which is moving investors toward the Pacific Trails pipeline project, which will cost 1 billion dollars.

The crow chanted “no pipelines, no tar sands on unceded land” as well as phrases like “Unistoten stop the frack, Montreal’s got your back,” and “Free, prior and informed consent, Montreal represent!”

Later on in the day, a group reached the 20th floor of the Jarislowsky Fraser Limited building despite attempts from security guards to stop them. Erin O’Brien, who is the companies Chief Finacial Officer and Partner, greeted the group. Unistoten spokesperson, Freda Huson presented O’Brien with a letter from Unistoten, however, O’Brien claimed that she did not have to time read or hear the letter. Protesters were not invited in and were told to make an appointment instead
