Temporary farming workers visas' delayed

Farmers in Quebec are worried they won't have enough workers after hundreds of farm workers have been denied entry into the province.
 
According to CBC News, temporary agricultural workers, coming from Guatemala have been delayed from entering Quebec because their visas are not ready.
 
The federal government has tried to encourage local workers to apply for farming jobs instead of bringing in temporary workers from Central American countries.
 
Dozens of Guatemalans were stopped from entering the country last spring, after some farmers were told to try and hire local workers.
 
Seventy per-cent if the ten-thousand foreign workers who enter Quebec are from Guatemala. The rest are from the remaining Central American countries and surrounding Carribean neighbours.
