Taxi drivers will begin refuse to provide services to citizens all over the province of Quebec on Wednesday.

According to CBC News, the Front commun des taxis is protesting the provincial government allowing Uber to operate in Quebec.

The coalition of taxi drivers is now demanding to meet with Premier Philippe Couillard.

A late-night house fire left 3 people dead and others wounded in Ontario on Saturday.

CTV News reported that Ontario’s Office of the Fire Marshal is currently investigating the source of the accident.

One of the injured includes a neighbour who rescued the building’s residents from the flames.

The dangerous, category 4 Hurricane Matthew is moving towards the Caribbean.

According to BBC News, Hurricane Matthew is expected to hit Jamaica, Cuba and Haiti by Tuesday.

Haiti is on the verge of experiencing up to 40 inches of rain and citizens are extremely worried about the potential consequences of mudslides and floods.

A stampede in Oromiya, Ethiopia killed more than 50 people on Sunday.

According to Reuters, the tragedy occurred during a religious festival that was interrupted when police fired teargas at protesters.

The Ethiopian government has declared 3 days of mourning in an attempt to ease tensions in Oromiya, but citizens are still actively protesting following the tragedy.
