(Interview) Playwright Lydie Dubuisson on the value of embracing change

We recently spoke with Lydie Dubuisson, playwright and newly appointed artistic associate at Black Theatre Workshop (BTW) to discuss the impact and intention of her play Sanctuary. To kick off BTW’s 50th Anniversary Season, their annual Discovery Series began with a reading of Sanctuary streamed live on Facebook and YouTube. In addition to reflecting on the script’s intense material, the conversation touched upon the effects of theatre’s new virtual landscape and the importance of connection.

Black Theatre Workshop’s Black History Month event is their Poetry Jam, streamed live on Facebook and YouTube. More information on their 50th Season programming can be found here.
