In an attempt to end a hunger strike that started in February, guards at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp have separated inmates into one-man cells.
Al Jazeera News ireports the guards acted after the detainees had covered the surveillance cameras and windows to block view of their cells.
Navy Captain Robert Durand says that 43 prisoners are taking part in the hunger strike as a protest against the removal of their personal items from the cells.
So far, 11 prisoners have been force-fed with tubes through the nose and stomach.
