CJLO #FRINGEBUZZ DIARY 2016: OUR FRINGE PICKS AND AN AUDIO DIARY FROM THE TEAM!

Kicking off the summer season with a buzz, CJLO is honored and proud to once again cover and be part of the 2016 St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival happening throughout the month of June!

Our Official Fringe Team extraordinare is ready to capture the sights and sounds from the Montreal's annual party of fun, and to help you get revved up for this year's festival, we've put together a little compilation of fun picks that our esteemed fellow Fringe correspondents are looking forward to see:

"I'd love to check out the Atomic City because I'm thrilled by the idea of explosions and forbidden romance!" - Patricia Petit Liang (Fatal Attraction)

"Les Vieilles Croutes is sure to bring laughs and tears. Spliced in with vinegary French-Canadian humor is the painful reality that everyone does grow old, and oftentimes, one must do this alone." - DJ Thinkbox (The Machine Stops)

"So much to choose! So far, Nerdfucker is on my list for that slice-of-life vibe with a twist. Also, Messy Bitch is gonna be fierce and intense — the legendary Jacob Greco's Garbage Person Island, and the mystery play about The Lady and The Leg both sound like tons of fun!" - S. De Los Angeles (Shibuya Crossing)

"(The) Flinstones were a huge part of my childhood, and now the time has come to kill the things you love, Bedrock Burlesque is a top pick.- Danilo Bulatovic (Computer Sourire)

"Chanteuse, dancer, clown, and strip-teaseuse extraordinaire Miss Sugarpuss brings her final full-length play to the Fringe. Backed by an all-star artistic and technical team, it would be foolish to miss Love and Pasties, Miss S. I predict full houses, so get your tickets in advance! - Sue Snyder (CJLO Fringe Correspondent)

"Caravonica! I did a gig with him a few months ago and his performance was amazing! It was funny, creative, interesting, immersive and engaging. I loved it and am so excited to see him perform again!" - Erica Bridgeman (The F Hole)

"A David Lynch Wet Dream promises to bring all of the dark and surreal elements of a Lynch film to the stage. I cannot wait to be scared and seduced by these incredible performers at the Studio Multimédia du Conservatoire next week." - Sonja Hanson (Behind The Counter)

"I'm really excited to see Sexpectations by Moxy Scallywag. I am a hardcore fan of Moxy, AKA Maxine Segalowitz who is a magical performer that I saw last year in Team Greco's "Is this Pretentious?", in the Rocky Horror Picture Show at Mainline Theatre and in various dance productions in Festival Bouge D'Ici! Maxine symbolizes Fringe glamour: a mix of vaudevillian shenanigans with a dose of Riot Grrl grime!" - Ellen Smallwood (CJLO Promotions Director)

Our Fringe Team also gotten the chance to interview a ton of talented Fringe performers throughout the night of the Fringe-For-All. Yours truly, and Jess Glavina, the host of Creators Chorus, have put together a rich sound diary of conversations, observations - originally aired on Champions of The Local Scene. Check it out by clicking on the links below, and click here to check out the full playlist to learn more about our artists who will be featured on CJLO's Fringe Tunes in The Park - Friday June 17th!
