CARPET

Carpet is Montreal’s answer to the worldwide shoegaze craze. What started as an apartment-recording project of Archible Gilliam has come together into a well-oiled quintet. Stocked with keys, a steady rhythm section and leads, Gilliam provides the cherry on top with a ukulele of all things, manipulated by an array of effects modulators. Carpet sings songs of simple matter and allows listeners to get lost in a sea of fuzz and delay. The live show is true to the recorded capture, providing an unforgettable experience of chaos and energy masked with lights and swirled sound waves. With its debut album “Saturation" in its pocket, Carpet sets out with vigor to cultivate worldwide audiences with its unique twist on a modern classic.
