It looks like Turn Down The Suck may have to relinquish the title of CJLO's Most Reliable Show as the Indomitable Johnny Suck is taking yet another week off. In his place will be a very special 4-hour edition of The Almighty Riff.

A Week Off

After a grueling month of May featuring no less than 18 hours of Suck, the unrelenting Johnny Suck is due for a bit of a break.

After 4 weeks on the shelf, Zombieboy is ready to return to the Almighty Riff.

After 20 or so years, Johnny Suck may just have his very last day of school ever on May 31st.

And after 5 days, the beerfest is winding up on June 1st.

I think you see where this is going...
Turn Down The Suck is going to be on hiatus this week, but don't worry, there will a very special four hour edition of The Almighty Riff in its place.

Doctors tried everything they could to save the full show, but, in the end, The Man was too strong and half of the show had to be sacrificed to save the rest...
Don't worry though, because the full spirit of The Suck lives on in the surviving half, resulting in a concentrated, more intense, and ultimately superior listening experience.

This past Friday, Johnny had an chance to speak with Quebec hardcore legend Marc Vaillancourt about his new band Les Ékorchés. The forming of the band (which features members of Ghoulunatics and Voivod), their new record, tour plans, the (unlikely) possibility of another BARF reunion, and the upcoming provinicial elections are just a few of things talked about.
