Morning MAYHEM...on the web?

So it seems that I am a major fail at blogging...however I have been urged by my fellow djs to give it a try. Why not?

So for all of those who listen to my show, you know what its all about: pro-truth and pro-originality, and all that fits in under the "punk" genre. From Canadian locals and independant punk bands worldwide to classic old punk tunes from the vault, my show aims to prove that punk is not dead.

Contrary to what some may think, punk music is everywhere and it isn't just rehashed versions of old Clash tunes. It's new, fresh and alive; ranging from all corners of the globe.

I URGE you to seek out on your own time underground punk bands that are arising from your local venues or college radio stations. This genre needs to be brought back to life. Can you remeber a time when a band caused as much a political stir as the Sex Pistols? Or Dead Kennedys? I think not.

Since this is a Montreal based show, Here is a fabulous facebook group that will supply all your punk show needs. Wanna know when there is a show in your hood? or when you're favorite band is coming to town? Join the group and they will send you messages and links telling ya when something good is around the corner.

Since it is 1:48 am, and I am not THAT nocturnal (although give some coffee and I will be dancing till the sunrise...) I will end the first blog post now. Tis the season for Holidays, so my show will not be on air for the following weeks, however I will be back on location as of january 2 so expect to hear some fine tunes coming your way after that.
