Crystal Antlers release new album

It has been a long wait for us here at the Go-Go Radio Magic Show, a long wait that ended this week with the release of the follow up full length album by our favorite five piece out of Long Beach, California, Crystal Antlers. The road between 2009's Tentacles and 2011's Two-Way Mirror has been a strange one, but it appears that they have come out the other end richer for the experience.

When Touch & Go Records was about to go belly up they decided to hang on to release one more album, and that album was the brilliant Tentacles. With the band receiving rave reviews and criss-crossing North America and Europe in support it, was a bitter sweet pill to swallow. On the one hand it is kind of cool that they thought so highly of your record, but on the other hand you just lost your support system.

After over two years of constant touring the band decamped to La Punta Banda, Mexico for some much needed rest, write new songs and figure out where they were going to go from there. In 2010, to keep people like us happy, the band release a 7" (Little Sister/Dead Horses) as a free download or a limit edition vinyl.

While there is currently no tour dates annouced, we are keeping out fingers crossed that Crystal Antlers will come back to Montreal. In the mean time you can buy the new album on iTunes or through the band's website at http://crystalantlers.com/
