This is not merely a five song EP, but rather it is a space-funk masterpiece in five parts. A supergroup made up of members from Duchess Says and les Georges Leningrad, Quatro is the real deal. A biker-psychedlic-voodoo-blues band that gets deep into the groove and lays there for awhile, twisting your brain to help you see the world from a different perspective. Play it loud and play it often!...

Just over a week away from Wilco's return to Montreal (Sunday Sept. 18th @ Metropolis) and a couple weeks from the release of their new album, The Whole Love, the band has released a video for the song "Born Alone" ...

Music has always been a huge part of every Jarmusch film, be it in the casting (Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Joe Strummer, GZA, John Lurie, etc. etc. etc.) or as the muse that inspires the story. For example, his 1989 film "Mystery Train" is set in Memphis where each story revolves around the fact that in Memphis music is as much a part of lving as food and air, or ten years later with his brilliant Hip-Hop Samurai film "Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai" when he gave the Wu-Tang Clan's GZA complete freedom...

Sno Angel Winging It

When Howe Gelb was invited to play the Ottawa Blues Festival in 2006 he was a little confused since he doesn't make blues records. When he found out he was performing in a church, his set sandwiched between two gospel groups he took it as a sign. "... on the second day they had me in a church, which I'm thinking...Ok I'm not a blues artist and I don't sing religious songs either.... so I figured it all made sense, it was a barrage of co incidentals you see." Questioning wether his "muck" could connect to what Ottawa's...
