Jim Jarmusch has always worn his love of music on his sleeve, so it is no surpirse that Iggy Pop has asked the director to do a documentary on The Stooges. Music has always been a huge part of every Jarmusch film, be it in the casting (Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Joe Strummer, GZA, John Lurie, etc. etc. etc.) or as the muse that inspires the story.
