Native Tongue

  This Saturday The Limelight we’ll be paying to tribute to the  Native Tongue Family.

This Hip Hop collective consisted of Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest & De La Soul, Leaders Of The New School, Queen Latifah, Monie Love & Chi Ali. Later on there were peripheral members such as Towa Tei, J Dilla, Prince Paul, Brand Nubian, Punchline & Wordsworth

The Native Tongue had an impact on the style and trend of Hip Hop during the Golden Age.

Many Hip Hop heads still remember the Golden Age.  You can go to a party and the DJ will still drop tracks from the Native Tongue Family.
