 This week was a scorcher by scorcher I mean insane melting phenomenon... nervous melting breakdown! Thats right midterms have gotten to me and  I am on the verge of BREAKING but it's alright because it makes for some great entertainment!

I'm baackkkkkk....

CMJ was amazing,  I have got tons of crazy NYC stories for you all.  Some good... some not so good ( one evil bouncer man for instance...)  CJLO Djs like myself have come home in a New York state of mind  we drink half and half and can't seem to sleep. Musically the trip was a bit challenging but no worries I brought back loads of awesome music.

Oh and I met George Clinton... he gave me drugs.

It is CMJ- College Music Journal week, and I along with many other great Djs at the CJLO station will be absent for a week of musical bliss.

 THE VIRGINS INTERVIEW!

Saturday I had an  interview with Donald and Wade from 'The Virgins' and these guys were awesome. We talked about their record label ( Atlantic records) their new album debut ( The Virgins) and just about everythingel else! I was very impressed by their candidness and sincerity, if you like old school rock, mixed with grungy dance music then The Virgins is one band you should definetely check out... Actually if you like music you will like THE VIRGINS, who opened for BLACK KIDS at Juste Pout Rire-Saturday(  oct. 4th 08.) They had a great set and to hear parts of their interview you must check out this weeks show FRIDAY 2-4PM ! I will be playing a few of the tracks from their recent album, but you gotta listen in to find out which ones...

The extremely awesome up and coming Canadian band 'WOMEN' will be performing in CJLO'S very own station! Tune in this Friday October 3rd and get a taste of this cool indie rock band from the shores of...? Listen in to find out how this mysterious band came into music.

As for the newly developed myspace page, Do not be afraid. It is THIS Reaktor even though the description is somewhat creepy. It's just that I find myspace great for music findings and band connections  but that is all. The only photos you will find up there is of street crud and sticky shoelaces. No need for self promotion, I want music, artists and bands.Which is why my profile consists of me being a 95 year old woman/man from abitibi.

Here is a little preview.

I am 56 year old woman/man, and I live at home in my ma's basement eating peanut butta outta the jar. Sometimes I mix it up and throw in some jelly. I don't own anything except my cat and I found him in a box on the side of the road. His name is smokey cuz one of his paws was burnt off in a fire and now he smells of toast. I am dangerously overweight but lately I have been taking the stairs and drinking less soda. I lost 2 1/2 pounds! My favourite colour is brown because it reminds me of the earth and mud. I only wear brown clothes because you cannot tell when it is dirty. This saves me time cuz now i only do laundry once a month.

So that's it folks- Oh yeah and myspace has for some reason translated my homepage to french, so if any of you know how to fix that please help me!

Also Stay tuned for next weeks Reaktor I will  be making up for lost time by having a WELL KNOWN  almost famous band come in and do a live session in studio!!!
