BC teachers' strike continues

Talks between the British Columbia Teachers' Federation and the B.C. Public School Employers' Association have come to a halt, Sunday.

According to CBC, both sides can't agree on teachers' involvement in class sizes and distribution, as well as salaries.

Further talks have not been scheduled, and 40 000 teachers remain on strike across the province, only days before the beginning of the school year.

While the B.C. government will not force teachers back to school, it will provide families with children under 12 a 40$ a-day stipend to cover day-care costs.
